Outreach

Educational lesson plan inspired by scientific research:

Through the SciREN organization, my labmates and I created a classroom lesson plan for local educators so students can learn about our research. We've participated in both SciREN Coast and Triangle outreach events throughout the years and disseminated this work to hundreds of educators across the state of North Carolina (and beyond).

Here's a folder with our compiled lesson plan and activity materials, and a short introduction video for students.

• Involvement in a neuroscience after-school science program

• Served as a local North Carolina elementary and high school science fair judge
